What is SUP? Stand Up Paddleboarding originated in Hawaii and is quickly spreading throughout the world. Hawaiian surf instructors would stand up on their surfboards and use an outrigger paddle to keep an eye on their students. Known as Hoe he’e nalu, Stand Up Paddleboarding was also used by the “beach boys” to take pictures of the tourists learning to surf.
